Lwazi made a video about the contemporary group painting the transparents for Dorfmark.

Youth against racism (The Demonstration)

One of my favourite parts of the camp is when we go to make demonstration against the Ludendorffer in a small village a few kilometers away from Oldau. The demonstration is organisied mainly by Charly and the contemporary group they prepare the banners and the poster for the protest. We went to tour the military area first before the demonstration, the training area is said to be the biggest and the most modern in Europe. After learning about the military area we all got our voices ready for the demonstration. We learnt a few songs along the way to make sure that we draw the attention of the residences of the village and the Ludendorffers.Because it was Good Friday we were not allowed to make a lot of noise ,the drum that we had brought was confiscated and we were told that we have to walk on the pavement instead of the streets.Dissppointed but still motivated we carried our bright banners on the pavement silently as we marched to the hotel where the Ludendorffer were having their meeting. We got to the hotel and there was another group of young people protesting this is impressive because this means that the youth in Germany are aware of what is still happening in their country .After singing for a couple minutes we were told to be silent until the police give us a go ahead.During the break, the residence of Dofmark provided refreshments for us to make sure that our energy levels are up which i think was quite nice. The police finally gave us the go ahead we sang louder than before 'Youth against racism','if you hate the nazis clap your hands',these are some the songs that we were singing. A few minutes later we had to go back because our time was up we left the hotel pavement shouting and singing waving our banners up high.Everyone in the streets was looking with amazement at what we were doing pedestrians jumping out of the way as we approached and people in the coffee shop stopping their conversation as we shouted and demonstrated. We got to the bus and we were satisfied with the job that we had done.

We first vidoeraised the outside group and they were enjoying their work,it was fun they were clearing up some space in the forest so that it could look better and people could have some space to work on .we went on to listen to the eyewitness group and they seemed to question the cruelty of the Germans that they could not feel anything for other human beings,we carried on to the music group and they were studying music during the nazis period and i think that was important to learn on how did people communicate through music.

If you want to see our work go to the blog.

Gedicht von Bergen Belsen auf Russisch - Poem of Bergen Belsen in Russian Language

Bergen Belsen:

Erinnerung an Bergen Belsen

Memory of Bergen Belsen

Everything goes by with the years

But Bergen Belsen will never forgive us

This dreadful fate and struggle

And with our memory of farewell

Try to understand it in the future

In such places it should be better never to be

Yes, we live only one time in this world

Try not to pass your chance

Leave the earth, your home

Free of splinter, like now

Leave this beautiful, beautiful earth

So that our neighbour can remember

The trip to hamburg

We woke up on wednesday morning and there was a change in atmosphere because everyone was excited to be going to Hamburg. We ate our breakfast merrily and when the bus came everyone jumped with great excitement to gracefully take their sits as we head to Celle to catch the train. We got to the train station on time (thank God)and we were off to the big city. We were in the train for approximately two hours and everyone was sitting with thier mate discussing the dealings of the day, what to buy? how much money to spend? and which shopping malls to visit. When the train assistant finally announced that we are in Hamburg, everyone got to thier feet not wanting to be left behind and miss out on experience. We divided into groups(English and German) and we were off to view, discover and tour the beautiful city. The groups went their seperate ways with the english group taking the tour to the habour first and the german group going to the St Michael first. The weather was on our side so we could view the habour from the outside. The view was breath taking we all stood in awe of the achitecture and the enigeering that was going on the back ground. To everyone's suprise the ferry came to a stop for everyone to go out we all reluctantly went out of the ferry to view the famous St Michael cathedral.Marching in a group we passed coffee shops filled with poeple enjoying the warm spring afternoon sipping coffee and having their german cusine. We took a group photo in between our walk and finally got to the church. After getting our tickets we were ready to climb up the dreaded stairs of the church to get to the peek of the building.I must say that the walk to the top of the church was a site to marvel at the participants were panting all the way to the top with others protesting and vowing to give up.We all luckly got to the top in one piece. After the trip to the church everyone was itching to put on their shopping shoes so we headed to the city center.

Everyone shopped till they dropped till we had to meet in the train station for our journey back home. After an intensive count we all went to board a train back to Oldau.

Survey about Eyewitness-Talk with Hugo Höllenreiner

Survey about the Eyewitness talk - mp3

On the 6th of April the Eyewitness Hugo Höllenreiner visited us in Oldau.

We were very greatful to him of telling us his Story, which touched our hearts.

Now it's our task to share his story with other people and to fight against the fact that those stories might be forgotten.

We from the Documentary-Group now asked some participants for a feedback.

Die Aktuelles-Gruppe weiß Bescheid! - The Contemporary-Group knows what´s going on!

In this Group the Teenagers get the chance to deal with actual issues of right-wing extremism in different ways.

On the second day of working in Groups the members of the Contemporary-Group had already collected a lot of new experiences.

They learned several new things concerning prejudices which exist even today and were able to see things from the perspective of a discriminated person with the help of movies and roleplayings.

Because of a lot of movement in the right-wing scene and since right parties get especially to young people more popular, the 19-year-old Ole from Bremen thinks that you have to be informed well about neo-Nazis to be able to step in in case of emergency.

Eyewitness Group

Eye witness

Mr Hugo Hollenreiner

this is about the eyewitness we talked with yesterday, and he was with the eye witness group and we wrote the stories that he did not share with the large group.

the witness escaped two times to get food for his mother hewas likey enough that he was not caught, his brother could not get any kids so he thought it was the same case with him to,but it was not he made a girl pregnant so his father asked him to marry the girl he did not want to but he had to do it. So he got married and they had a second child and it was a boy after thirty five years he was devorced and now he has a girlfriend.

His parents died, his two brothers are still alive but they do not talk about what happend, he doesn't even talk to his children about what happend.

The eye witness group was so participating and they were very much amazed that the are people who could be so heartless and the big quetion was, what made them to be like animals and not feel for another human being?
